Open Burning Ban Lifted for Jasper County

Open Burning Ban Issued for Jasper County Lifted at 3:00 PM on 10/13/2021 

The Jasper County Fire Chiefs have requested and received approval, from the State Fire Marshal’s Office, to lift the Open Burning Ban for Jasper County.  Open burning is allowed starting at 3:00 PM on 10/13/2021.  Below is the statement from the State Fire Marshal:

To Whom It May Concern: 

Pursuant to Chapter 100.40, State Code of Iowa, and at the request of NEWTON FIRE CHIEF JARROD WELLIK, representing each fire department having all or part of their fire districts within JASPER COUNTY, the open burning ban for JASPER COUNTY will be lifted effective 10/13/2021 3:00 PM.
